Get your own harvest even if you've never grown plants before.
So discreet that nobody will know what you're doing.
Never again buy the stuff.
Complete with all you need. Except for potting mix and seeds. (I can recommend you where to get both in your country)
Harvest enough for yourself and a friend. Others have been getting 30-60 grams (every 3.5 months).
You don't have to know gardening. Because TomatoTent has a tiny computer that does most of the work. For example, it tells you when the plants need water. It also regulates the climate and switches the light. If you've never grown this plant you will get a harvest on the first try.
It's Energy-Wise Consumes about 108 Watts. That means you pay about $0.42 (0.38€) per day for power.
Latest Samsung LED Grow Light Good quality LED chips from Market Leader Samsung. The LED works best when hung about 20 inches above the plant.
Made with long-lasting components, designed for a minimum lifetime of 6 years. Meanwell Power supplies, Fan used in Bitcoin mining machines (that means they can run at full power all the time). You are covered by a 24-month manufacturing-defect warranty.
Very small and discreet It hides in most wardrobes, closets, or storage rooms. So even an unexpected visitor to your home may not see it. Sizes: 16 x 16 x 61" (40 x 40 x 155 cm)
Doesn't Smell The Airfilter cleans the air. This takes out 90% of all smells. While plants are very ripe, a slight scent may be noticeable. I'm working on this and will provide an update to make it 100%.
Quiet enough to not be annoying All noise comes from the fan. The computer keeps the fan slow and quiet.
Grow all strains and types Autoflower plants (they give you a quick harvest in about 3 months, but don't yield as much), Photo Flower plants (these take a little longer to ripen -3.5 months, but they yield more). Make sure to use feminized seeds. Oh, by the way, this seed shop is trustworthy and ships to many countries.
Grow 1 large plant When you get more advanced, you can 'top the plant (cut the main stem at the top) to turn it into a bush with multiple top colas (buds) for extra yield.
Tells you when to water your plants The big display has a water gage. You can see if the plant needs water.
Don't use Nutrients if you don't want to Normally 'these' plants need to be fed a steady diet of fertilizers. But TomatoTent can be used with so-called 'super-soils'. Those are earth mixtures that contain all nutrients for the complete plant life. That way you wouldn't have to deal with fertilizers. You don't HAVE to go this route, but if you like here are super soils.
Comes with a large 7-gallon fabric pot A big pot makes growing easier.
Drying Function After you harvest, you can dry your crop inside TomatoTent. The fan will run slowly and keep the air flowing gently around the buds, letting them dry slowly (and eventually taste nice). The filter still removes and smells, keeping you safe.
Large Fabric Pot 30cm wide, 30cm high. Its made to grow one large plant in lots of soil (big pot, 7 gallons).
Many people ask how many plants fit into TomatoTent.
A good way to use it is with 1 big plant.
Alternatively, you could grow up to 4 small plants. But it gets tight in the tent eventually.
Air Duct & LED cooling Flange
It 'pulls' the 'used-up' Air over the LED and removes heat from the LED.
This avoids overheating of the Tent IF you live in a warm place. There are no heat-problems with TomatoTent up to an environment temperature of 30C/86F.
If you live in a cold place, you can move the heat-sucker to a position where the warmth of the LED remains in the tent to keep it warm.
Activated Carbon Air Filter
This air filter is filled with 'activated carbon' (that's a fancy name for 'refined charcoal').
This stuff binds VOCs and traps them (VOC means Volatile Organic Compound) and, in plain English, is 'the stuff that you smell from your plants'.
So it removes the smell. But not always 100% all of the smell. Sometimes, it removes only 90% of the smell. During flowering (when the plants gets real icky-sticky-smelly, the filter can get overwhelmed and a fine scent (about 10% of the smell) may be noticeable.
You can get rid of that by putting TomatoTent in a room with a small window cracked.
Sorry that it does not filter 100%. I am working on a solution, and once I'm ready, you could upgrade any TomatTent to the 100% no-smell version.
This fan is custom made for TomatoTent because the other standard fans were not as efficient, powerful, and speed-controllable.
The fan is a powerful long-life Unit. Its made with Ball-Bearings (because they last longer).
It's also mind-blowingly powerful. Typically, the fan needs only 20% of its capacity on TomatoTent.
The lower RPMs (Revolutions per minute) make TomatoTent reasonably quiet.
With "reasonably quiet" I mean that TomatoTent is as loud as a running fridge.
It's too loud to have it next to your bed .... but it's not so loud that it always annoys you.
This is the outside fabric. It keeps the light and smells inside.
It 's got a zipper-door you can open and look at your plant.
The tent is sewn from light-blocking Mylar-Nylon compound fabric. In English, that means it won't rip easily, is black on the outside, and reflective silver on the inside.
The glittery, shiny inside tent reflects light towards the plant (more light is used, not wasted).
The fabric is also non-toxic, it won't add chemicals to your home-air.
The grow tent is fire-resistant for your safety.
And the grow fabric is water tolerant. Even if the bottom tent gets wet after you water your plants, that's ok. It won't mold.
The tent will not completely contain all light inside. Some light leaks out at the bottom air inlet. That means you may not want to place this in your bedroom as the light could mess up your sleep.
TomatoTent uses Samsung LED chips (LM301B) and some added Red. The Samsungs are currently (year 2020) the most efficient LEDs for growing our special plants. They make the most light for the electricity they use (and you get more value for the electricity you buy).
Comes with long-life Meanwell LED Driver (a good brand with integrated electrical safety mechanisms)
There is a 'Short-circuit' protection. That means it switches off when somethings not right (no over-heating or worse).
You must hang the LED Lamp about 12 inches (30cm) above the plants.
TomatoTent has a 'Dimmer' button. When you press it, the Lamp dims down to 10% (and you can look at your plants without hurting your eyes).
Touch Screen Controller with WiFi
This is the heart and Soul of TomatoTent.
It's a little computer that does a lot of gardening work for you.
It keeps checking the climate inside the box (temperature and humidity).
If it gets too warm or humid, it makes the fan go faster (pumping more air to keep your plants growing well).
Or, when it's cold enough it slows the fan (making the box quiet and energy-wise).
The computer shows you when the plants need water. That way you know when to give it ... and when not. Too little or too much water were common mistakes in the past.
This computer also counts the days for you (how old your plant is). No need to write that down in a calendar.
This electronic brain switches the lamp on/off for you.
It does so gently with the inbuilt 'SunRise / SunSet feature. Your plant will be a little happier because of the soft-starting light in the morning, and the slow fading light at night.
WiFi & Remote monitoring
This is slightly 'techy'.
I know not everyone grew up with a Game Boy in the crib.
If 'tech-babble' confuses you, please skip this section.
You'll have access to a screen on your mobile phone or computer that tells you what's going on inside your TomatoTent (wherever you are).
There is a bar-graph logging function. So you can see what DID happen over the past days.
Seeing temp/humidity values over time will help you dial in the perfect grow, if you're into that scientific stuff.
All this is very, very easy to use. To access the Dashboard on your phone, there is a QR code that you can scan with the camera. It'll open the Dashboard (no need to install an 'App'.
